Hey there! I’m Tumisang Rasesia – but you can call me Tumi, the voice behind ChattyTumi!
Why ChattyTumi, you ask? Well, I love to chat! And what better way to help you achieve your dreams than through lively, meaningful conversations and tailored guidance? My platform is all about supporting you in learning English, preparing for education opportunities abroad, or even acing job interviews—all while exploring the beauty of African culture and everyday life, especially in Botswana. Let’s break stereotypes, build bridges, and have fun along the way!
Beyond Teaching: Education Consulting
In addition to English conversation lessons, I am also an education consultant. I specialize in helping students craft compelling essays and prepare for interviews for higher education opportunities, as well as job interviews. Some of my students have successfully been admitted to prestigious institutions like Duke University and Emory University in Atlanta.
Whether you’re dreaming of pursuing further education or improving your interview skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. My experience working with students from diverse backgrounds—including Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, and beyond—has given me a broad cultural perspective, making me particularly suited to support learners and professionals from various cultural contexts.
My Journey
I spent two and a half amazing years in Japan at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, located in the city of Beppu, Kyushu. My time in Japan gave me a deep appreciation for Japanese culture (and I even speak a little Japanese!). Back home, I’m an actress, a published author, and an all-around curious soul. Before diving into online English teaching, I spent ten months teaching English to adorable kindergarten kids. I now have over two years of experience teaching English online, coupled with the cultural insights I’ve gained from my travels and personal journey.
